Art Hound

I was excited when Kate Singleton, woman-about-town in the Brooklyn art scene and creator of Buy Some Damn Art, asked me to re-vamp the logo for her blog Art Hound. Clearly an appreciator of creativity, I had a feeling she would be an awesome client.

Since Kate is partial to folk art - inspired work (which makes up much of this art blog's beautifully curated content), I opted for a similar naive-feeling sensibility in the options I created for her.

She chose this textured, slightly unpredictable hand with a wavering baseline, and I created a new version of her existing hound illustration in the same brushy line. The result is a nameplate with a bit more personality that suits the content quite nicely.
