Herb Kitchen
Watercolor brush lettering and herb illustrations for a dinner event at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC. The menu that night centered around fresh herbs, and I chose to highlight the sage, lavender, basil, and tarragon that appeared on the menu that night.
While creating this piece, I was thinking about the plating process—a sparing yet artful smear of sauce upon which the food is mindfully arranged. The dish comes together in a seemingly effortless composition, perfectly expressive in its asymmetry and inviting in its presentation.
