Secondhand Fashion Etiquette Guide
This guide is intended as a fun and honest how-to for Buy Sell Trade communities, on instagram and everywhere. Too often in faceless exchanges, certain measures of care are overlooked, and we wanted to address this, creating a loose standard for these types of transactions.
Rehoming our items extends their life and keeps them from overflowing thrift shops and landfills. It is a privilege to own items worth enough to resell, and yes, it does require a little bit of time, effort, and attention. Think about it–someone is paying good money for our USED STUFF.
Based upon feedback from the community through polls and posts, as well as Rachael’s and my own personal experiences, this guide outlines the kind of conduct that we found to be unanimously appreciated, and sometimes overlooked.
We present it in hopes of creating more positive experiences in the Slow Fashion community and elsewhere, encouraging our audience to do their best for each other.
